I am Mateus,
nice to meet you

I am a product designer currently based in São Paulo, Brazil, and I've been building better experiences for people since 2018. I've worked in many products and services that millions use daily: from helping the surgery department of the biggest hospital in Latin America to the new use cases squad for the top beverage delivery app in the world.

My work consists mainly in identifying and solving problems in a cross-functional team, from discovery to delivery, ideation to hand-off. I've worked in a variety of projects and work areas, mainly focusing in app and mobile experience, but also desktop and enterprise platforms.

I'm currently working at Uber, helping the internal tools team come up with better ways of displaying data and making life easier for engineers and executives.

About myself

I like to collect things

As a kid I was never much into collecting stuff, but as I've grown older, I've taken interest in collecting all kinds of things. I must have over 50 vinyl discs and I have stopped counting how many jackets I own, but hey, what's a designer without a cool jacket?

Dog person all the way

But I love my cats, rabbits, rats, and hamsters all the same. I really like chilling with my dog and pampering him. His name is Caju and he is indeed the best boy.

I love to cook

This is sort of a new thing, but I absolutely love to cook. From elaborate paellas and Bolognese sauce from scratch to simple afternoon snacks, I simply love putting my mind to it and creating something awesome.
